Conspiracy of the Egg is the name of the first album of “G2 – An Alternative Grunge Set-up”, a four men Grunge band from Tri City Chandigarh led by Gaurav Gautam ( G2 ).

The Team-

Gee Too, Kurt Kobain, Sheena Bharthan, Nissar Kumar, Pankaj Singh Makkar, Rahee Mehra, Lima Roy Choudhary, Laura Desiree Mitchel, Peyush Saini, Christia Rozario. Abhishek Vatsa, Vaibhav Bhasin and Harvinder Singh.

The band was formed in the summer of 1999 by Gaurav Gautam ( G2 ), Sheena Bharathan, and Sourabh Sharma ( Boby / Kurt Kobain ). A few songs were written and composed. The band was dropped pray to the circumstances and situations in 2001 till 2007 when G2 formed Conspiracy of the Egg with G2 – Lead Guitars/Lead vocals, Nissar – Backing vocals/ Rhythm Guitars, Pankaj ( Manager ), Deepu – Backing vocals/Rhythm Guitars, and Andy Bhuller ( Now frontman Desi Playaz ). Arvind Attry joined the band after Andy found his opportunities in rap. The line up was playing a lot of alternative/metel/grunge rock covering bands like Nickel Back, Creed, Bullet for my valentine, Alter Bridge, Metallica, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc. The line was stable for some time however the band fell short of a basse after Arvind left for unknown reasons and Deepu left later that year. The band played a varity of genres while the line up kept changing from time to time. In 2009 the band had no lineup G2 being the sole musician in the band, deciding not to close the band. G2 started composing his own songs. He stopped listening to other bands and stopped playing covers. This helped develop an uninfluenced sound and motivation to deliver exceptional album. In 2010 G2 formed the line up again with G2 ( Lead Vocals/Lead Guitars), Raman Vats ( Bass Guitars/ Backing vocals ) and Raghav Kapoor ( Drums ) . The songs were redesigned for a three man set up. G2 wrote and composed new songs for yet to be named album.The band played in Grunge Genre and made some remarkable performances in Tri city Chandigarh. Raman proved to be the most successful and most influential Bass Guitarist till that day. As a team they would set fire on the stage. The trio brought fame and appreciation to the band. The songs were accepted with open hands. Kashmir and freedom became two major hits on the local shows. The band refused to play covers and continued playing the original covers. Some new songs " Like a rolling stone ", " Where the heros are born ", " Fall twice " were introduced. In 2011 Raman vats had to leave over a shoulder injury that he never could recover from. Raghav Kapoor went inactive over time.

The band found a new approach to it’s music with the entrance of Nagra brothers in 2011. For the first time the band was about to include keyboards to it’s sound. Vishant ( Drums ) and Vivek ( Keyboards ) redefined the sound of the band with their in depth knowledge of music and experience. They had done award winning performances in the past and the band went another step in pro music. The band was named after Gaurav Gautam ( Gee Too ) with the new line up that is consistent till date. The name conspiracy of the Egg was given to the first album the band started working on. The band’s first album :-
"" Conspiracy of the Egg – Chapter One – Call of Duty – Story of a soldier ""
is scheduled for it’s release in March 2012.

Name of the album " Conspiracy of the Egg " means?
Conspiracy of the Egg is the name of the first album that is yet to be released. The idea of the name was very simple. Every living being starts from an egg and conspires the world around it self to be happy, contented, satisfied and returns the favor. Even a mulling child that doesn’t know how to communicate knows how to get attention and company or ask for milk. The conspiracy started with the first few that weren’t really human. Human race evolved long after the conspiracy started and hence was already conspired while still on trees. Now for us the conspiracy means the social structure we live in today. It’s all a Conspiracy of the Egg.

Has the band been recognized and what are the future plans?

The band has a couple of movie projects to cover in June 2012. “Gee Too” the band has done a lot of shows however it’s strictly a matter of choice for now. Gee Too has been focusing on the album release. The band was on air for a lot of weeks after being covered by two Major FM stations where the band had long interview sessions and the opportunity to play on air for weeks. It’s a recognized name and is known to be the best among those who’ve experienced it.

Will the Band plan shows in other cities then Tricity?
Yes, as soon as the album is out the band plans to tour Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata and other cities.
