Bio

I am an 18 year old full time student at Brooklands College studying BTEC First Diploma Media. I have 4 years of radio experience, behind the microphone and the production side. My peers who I have worked with describe me as hard working and have respect for my can do attitude, my cheerful nature and my great sense of humour. I had a found interest in radio ever since I was little, always experimenting, before I became a professional radio presenter I used to do internet radio from home experimenting, this is where I found my voice. I have always found my way ending up in media; I am constantly applying for new radio stations to make my C.V stand out from others. Once I started doing radio I discovered I have a talent for voiceover work and now do voice over’s for smaller radio stations.

Key Skills:
• Voiceover Work
• Radio / Media
• Production Work
• Public Speaker
• Good Voice
• Good Work Ethic
• Punctual
• Keen Interest In Radio and Cinema
• Willing To Experiment

Media Work History & Experience:

Lions Hospital Radio – September 2008 to December 2008
This small hospital radio took me on and taught me how presenters used to present with vinyl’s and CD players. I left shortly after starting as it is not what I preferred.

102.8 ChorleyFM – August 2009 – January 2010
At ChorleyFM I presented the drivetime show every weekday, this was the second biggest show with big ratings (as found by Rajar). They took me on with very little experience and trained me in running a studio mixing desk and the play out software they used (Myriad). They gave me the freedom to produce and make it my own show.

107.8 RadioJackie – August 2010 to Present
RadioJackie took me on instantly after reviewing my C.V, they trained me up very well and it became a very enjoyable experience. I currently present the travel once a week however I am shortly being trained to present the news. The station has given me a great opportunity to build my way up the ladder and add to my C.V. I am used to writing scripts and preparing my broadcast in short times and sticking to deadlines.

OffTheChartRadio – January 2011 to Present
Currently I am presenting the drive time show on OffTheChartRadio every Monday & Wednesday from 4pm till 6pm, we get weekly updates on our audience figures and the listeners go up during these hours. They give me the freedom to produce and present my own show within limitations, and if I make a mistake the correct me and let me carry on. I also sometimes present specialist shows in the evenings which gives me a leeway to stretch the music variety.

JingleCreators – August 2010 to Present
When I discovered my voice a voiceover talent agency scouted me and currently hires me to voice for a wide variety of clients. I do this from home recording my voice which they then later produce. Although this is not my strongest point on my C.V I feel it has opened me up to much more media and is a great asset to my portfolio.

Radio Training:

I am trained in many playout systems for radio. I was trained by ChorleyFM to use and broadcast through Myriad which is the most popular one used by many radio stations across Britain. Aside being trained in Myriad I am also partially trained in OTSAV which is not used as much anymore, however some stations still broadcast via this. Some radio stations still use a system called Sam Broadcaster, although not that popular to the bigger stations smaller stations still use it.

I was trained by the following radio stations:
DBBC (Bolton)
• ChorleyFM (Chorley)
• RadioJackie (Tolworth)
