Let me start with a tight hug for picking this song which is very special due to various many reasons… I think only after this awesome movie, Kamal has started venturing into various challenging roles… Pertinent to notes, you are perfect as always…. Now I will let u know what I feel after a thorough scrutiny…. This song has been rightly accommodated in the movie…. Vairamuthu cleverly hints us the synopsis of the movie till then and also narrates the scene through his flowery words…. I personally think you should have sung with an additional softness as this can well be taken as a lullaby by a lover to his lady-love giving her pampers before they go on with their decision…. I mean, the delivery of this song should be gentle and smooth…. Tweak and fix it up in mixing if u can…. Having said this, I can’t find anything missed out in this rendition…. And un ‘adadaaa’ kku ‘adadaaa’ nnu rasichchu sollindey irunthaen…. Thanks for covering this awesome number from a classy movie…. I still couldnt remember the number of times I have watched this movie…. First song listened on this day – Ulaga Nayagan-SPB-Vairamuthu-Ilayaraja combo; b’day for ur cute relative; ur post after a long time…. :-) Can add more… This is another plume in your cap…. You have almost paralleled the original rendition…. kalakkal da…. Of course, this goes to my favorites….

Just awesoooooome! That Adadaa……you are the first person I have listened to that has sung it just like the original! Mixing is amazing too!

Some nitpicks:
Nathiyin oliyaa Innum kozhanju paadalaam. Seems a bit rigid to me.
Aaariro ivar yaar evaro the “ro” can be softer . Now a little flat :) similarly in Charanam 2
-Similarly “Ularnthu ponatho” and similar places in both charanams sound a little flat. innum oru chinnnnnnna sangathi poadanum anga (@ “Ul” and “po” for example in the above phrase)

The most important thing for me is that being a Rajini fan, you sang a Kamal song ……;). More about this later when we talk ;) ;) ;)

Superb choice of song Vishak! and quite well done!
few nitpicks, Unni, Adithi and Raj have already touched on them collaboratedly…
- Felt the low notes ‘Naeram, Uyirin Mozhiya, Nathiyin oliya’ were slightly flat. Maybe because of that the required softness was a bit dented…
- aprom in ‘mutham tharudha’, a bit of carassing crooning in the tharudha would have taken the song somewhere else…:)
- charanams, again konjam extra softness in a select couple of words. I am personally pathetic in delivering such softness, but I say this for you because you’ve shown us that superb softness in your delivery so many times in your previous songs… :)
And loved the ‘adadaa’, perfectly sung the way SPB would have sung….bull’s-eye Adithi… :)

rendition is not yur best though.this song rides with its softness and thats the part i thought was missing.it appeared bit stiff.

Arumayaana singing Vishak. I always wanted to do this song but I’m going to back out after hearing this lol. Indha maadhiri songs ellaam kaetaalae, manasu engayo pogudhu. Raja Raja dhaan :). SPB SPB dhaan :). Kamal kamal dhaan :).

@Adithi, naanum hardcore Super Star fan dhaan but Kamal’a vida mudiyumaa. I’m sure all our lives would have been impacted by just these 2 legends :). Every reference of watching kamal & rajini movies are still fresh on my head :). The greatest thing is they are still the leaders in the industry. AMAZING !!!

one take away for you – in the line aar irraaro ivar yaar yavaroo should not be abrupt, instead shoul lil sustain, but trust me bro you have a great voice(with lil classical touch when u sing)

You have sung this really very well… Only the lower registers in the song were sounding somewhat… You definitely cannot call it flat… But then it was somewhat…. Cant put it in words… Hope u understand…
