Awesome Vidya!You have once again proved you are the “vidhya”. Amazing performance! What a feel!

I have few issues with the mixing though. The vocals track is very sharp which makes your voice to sound slightly rusty when you hit higher pitches. It also amplifies that little rain-ish noise that comes with your voice. Of couse, our home recording studios are not ideal! So no big deal!

I am ‘hearing’ your voice in this one Vidya, the way it should be heard!. I think this is a good reference point for you and for fellow muzibooans. I liked this for the sheer fact that I could hear your voice across the entire range. So well done with the recording.

Singing cannot be faulted and you have given it your own style. I always thought this song was a bit lower in pitch and sung like a comforting lullaby in a laid back style with stylish ghazal nuances. Your version in places like Zara…, Tu…, Mujhe… could be more laid-back and tempered with softness I thought. Your lower to middle range singing had the right touches and sounded very nice, especially the starting Sthayi (Pallavi) sounded awesome and grabbed the listener. Higher registers need not be loud for this song is the key point I would make … it all needs to sound pretty soothing and laid-back as we are comforting a close one!.

The clarity in your vocal was the best among your renditions to date. You have a very good voice Vidya and this rendition was right up there and gave an insight into you!.

Great feather in your cap Vidya … very neatly done!.

Hi Srividya,
This is perfect and you have nicely improvised, I think,for a few seconds before nearing the end.You have no diction problem and pronunciation-wise, you are very accurate.In one song of mine I said “Khwaab” and one listener corrected me and said that it is always to be pronounced “khaab” only, even if written khwaab!

Full marks. The mood was nice and peaceful.
I find that two other lady singers have also sung this.I note that NVK and Harshan have also done it. I too have sung this and the file is in my computer.Will upload it!
