Very nice…… Your voice takes over…. Nowadays many people are trying improvisations….unable to do so successfully…… I would request them to listen to this…. This is how it is done without creating a mess of the Original gem…. ‘Log’ portion could have better n ‘Kaam’ aswell….

Vidya – very nice singing. Song sounds quite diff in a female voice and you made it your own. Really liked the improv at naina, Vidya and good breath control at the antara as well. Felt that you could have maybe added a little more reverb for your vocal track. 5 for this, Vidya.

Left me wanting for more … a lullaby composed for all ages superbly rendered in your sweet voice and made my Saturday night-in-my-study really a treat!. Needless to say you are an artful and savvy singer but if there is a further icing I could add to your singing cake here it is: The secret of perfect sur is beckoning you I feel, so why don’t you welcome her!. This is a hard thing to get across as we are talking micro sruthi and its attainment with tactful approach, as if talking converts to singing in a nano-second. I think you are gifted and if you approach your starting syllable with more ease and very slightly lower your frequency you will be hitting that elusive pitch that is the home of great singers. I feel that you are in that zone and try to approach from a lyrical sense rather than a strict musical sense with your imagination … you will hear a click that takes you to the smoothest gear meant for the Gods!. Best of luck! Awesome rendition!.

This is my very first comment on your singing.
You are endowed with a very nice and mellifluous voice. And singingwise,maybe also thanks to your Carnatic training,you come into the topmost rung.Your singing is effortless, natural and attractive.

I am surprised that you selected this Kishoreda’s song. However, you have done full justice to it.It has come out to be excellent.Kishoreda has observed a gap between “Tu” and “Kaun Hain” which you have omitted but I feel that we singers should not be mere copy-cats and should take minor liberties.
I too have sung this song. I have broken the line in the sthayee, after “kahin” and also after “jaaye”, but that is for the purpose of breath!

Will hear more of yours!

Positives first, your voice is very sweet and your classical knowledge is great.

But the original song made me cry, but this song touched me no where. Although the song was sung perfectly well….

As an audience I would like to see more of a bleeding heart in songs which touches me to the core and not acrobatics in classical to show how much classical one knows. It does not help….
