Varali is a beautiful raga ( this is varali is it ? ) if I am wrong let me know. it had an effect of retake of Guna into my ears….both orchestrationaly and melodically ……it might be just my ears….but the impact of diviness is immense listening to this . where was this recorded srividya ? Isn’t Moham ennum song from movie Sindhubhairavi based on Kanakangi? I didn’t find the resemblance :-(

But I felt that Guna song Paartha vizhi had striking resemblance to this song which is based on Pavani ragam.

I am confused as to which raga your song is based on now :-(

Very nice composition … liked the orchestration and the tune and the chorus singing was awesome.

You have sung well but thought that there could have been better vocal clarity both in the mix as well as in terms of lyrics. Could not follow the lyrics all that clearly.

You have a very good voice and in this rendition seems a bit subdued … could be bolder. Very nice tune nevertheless and all credit to you!.

Beautifully orchestrated and sung.

My knowledge on Carnatic is zero. Scale structure resemble similar to the Moham Ennum song from Sindhubhairavi. And there is a beautiful Thyagaraja Krithi Sri Gananadham Bhajamyaham based on this ragam. So how did I learn about this one, well there is a old Telugu movie called Sruthilayalu (Rajasekhar,Sumalatha directed by K.Viswanath)this song is featured in that movie sung by Srimathi Vani Jayaram.

Hi Srividya, The composition as well as your singing are superb. Good arrangements especially the use of chorus. Kanagangi is rarely used in composing since it is difficult to handle, but here the composer has made it very flexible. I would have been more hapier with a better mixing, though. A perfect five for you, and taking away as one of my favourites!

Bala……lyrics romba nalla irukku….even i was reminded of Guna song….the resemblence is due to the chorus and the repeated and azhutham in the swaram reeee…….reeeee (R1), i think.
In fact i didnt know the arohanam /avhnm for kanakangi….just referred to it now!
