I really thank everyone for taking out time & glad that everyone liked it. I am still in the learning curve in terms of both mixing & singing…. Well the original had very low vocals on both the female & male…. I guess I am not that experienced & equiped to bring out that…. But I tried…. Hopefully will get better with time…. Thankyou for your support people….

I specially thank Sri to provide this oppurtunity to sing this song with her…. Previously this song was also greek to me as a few others here :)
Superb singing on her part again. She’s a Gem to have as a friend, guide, advisor everything…. GOD gifted special voice quality which makes evry song so special….

Stands out as a haunting love melody urging us to remember the cries of beckoning passion, long after the song has rested to a silence and leaving the heart to find its own rhythm in the mystic that is … LOVE?!.

Well combined for a superb effort with Vidya venturing with a playful husky tone and Shampak hitting the customary sweet spot that resonates in Indian cinema halls!. Vocals could have been more prominent I guess but sat equally well with the genre of the song.

Vidya … in promoting this style Vidya you can afford to go for a brighter throw in your voice that would be more captivating and compelling I think. Nuances were kept safe and your occasional yodelling effect gave it variety.

Shampak … sounds very good in your middle to higher registers … lower registers may need a bit more accuracy I felt … especially in the antara starting lines. However your wonderful cinematic voice overtakes!.

Between 4:30 and 4:55 both your voices did not blend all that well as I felt some micro offs in the takeoffs … when singing in succession like that a lot more attention is required to join the voices with perfect pitch … something that is not easy I guess with remote singing as well.

Unique love tune that I suspect Vidya enjoyed singing more than Shampak, but both of you did a great job!.

Wow Arvind Sir…… what a descriptive comment…. Very happy that you liked our effort…. Shortly I will mix this song again on the points that you have mentioned…. You are absolutely gifted with pro ears(not to mention about Throat)…. Yes I do face some problems in the low range sometimes…. But this song didnot challenge that :D
I loved this song as soon as Sri told me about it…. Sri has really sang it beautifully as she always does…. :D

good jobs guys …i love this song and having sung it myself I am quite familiar with the nuances most of which you guys have managed to convey in your rendition.mixing could be better to add a bit of spark to the rendition.
Vidya – very nice singing ….expressions for most part were good ….starting alaap was well done but could have been better flowing ….felt you lost breath at one point there……second antara has such lovely expressions which i felt were missing in your rendition…listen carefully how shreya sings ‘sochu na’ !
Shampak – your voice sounds very good ….i love the thehrao in your voice in this one…thoda aur jaan daltey expressions pe to it would have sounded even better….
overall good job guys ……dil mange more :-)

Very impressive singing. Never heard the original….in fact, I could never imagine that Chamku could have such a lovely number… bought the DVD long time back but never bothered to open the wrapper till now.

Shampak and Vidya are turning out to be best duet singers. I am little confused with the overall rating. This performance surely deserves 5/5.

@Harry Bhai…. even i was stunned by the fact that Chamku could have such a nice song…. I gues this is the only good thing in the film :D
As for the rating….the same thing that Pradip Da was disccussing about in one of his threads….
Bcoz there were ratings even without a comment on this song which is intensional dirty work i guess….
I am really lucky enough that Sri takes me that much capable of singing with her….but fact is m not that capable….just these are way too easy songs nothing challenging…. The numbers she has already covered….there are some real difficult numbers…. :D
If she selects a hard one then m gone :)

I do not know the original song so cant say much how close you both sang but to me it was pleasant singing.
Shampak, your diction is still poor which shows you have not worked on it. I want to mention the word ‘Khuwabon’ which was not pronounced correctly.
Rest sounded cool.
