Pibare Rama Rasam (Happy Diwali!!) A short version in Ahir Bhairav

Pibare Rama Rasam (Happy Di... Lyrics & Chords

First of all, a very Happy Diwali to you all!

Just wanted to sing a song on Lord Rama. This beautiful Sadashiva Brahmendrar krithi sung in a fav raaga (Ahir Bhairav) came into mind. It was originally sung in Yamuna Kalyani, but got a lot of popularity in Ahir Bhairav which was tuned by Dr. Balamurali Krishna.
I am just singing 2 of the popular charaNams and in my own acquired style with a Hindustani influence (though having completely imbibed all the great Maestros versions – Dr. Balamurali Krishna, P. Unnikrishnan, Flautist V.K Raman etc.) This is my vocals with very minimal reverb (no compression etc.) Please bear with the disturbances and some static noises at holding notes.

May the Light of this festive season stay in your hearts, and the splendor shine out from within. God Bless all! :-)
Please try to listen early in the morning, and comment or email in my personal space, at your leisure.
Apologies for the somber upload at a happy time, but some fun and peppy duet uploads are coming up shortly! Cheers.

Here is a note from our Latha to add to the essence of this song:

I love One more Ahir bhiravi song from a film named Dekh kabeer roya – Meriveena tumbinroye:

-———
Meaning :O Mind, drink the nectar of divine name Rama.||
It dispels fear and grief from the cycle of birth and death.
It is the quintessence of all the Vedas and other Scriptures.||
It is the sacred song sung in the hermitages of the holy and enlightened Yogis.
Great Sages Shuka, Shaunaka and Kaushika enjoyed that nectar.||
