Ghar Jaayegi Tar Jaayegi (Khushboo 1975)
Ghar Jaayegi Tar Jaayegi (K... Lyrics & Chords
As I’m getting back to music and recording, thought of recording an old favorite of mine – a beautiful peppy song, Ghar Jaayegi Tar Jaayegi, from the Late RD.Burman/Asha Bhonsle/Gulzar deadly trio.
To call Ashaji a versatile singer would be understatement as she has challenged and redefined musical boundaries – quoting this from a nice book I got from my sis. Whereas OP Nayyar gave Ashaji her first break, her vocal dynamics which gives her singing a joie de vivre that is her signature, I think could be attributed to her music times with RDB.
Presenting one such number from the movie Khushboo (1975), love this song for Ashaji’s voice and expressive dynamics, Hema Malini’s beautiful acting and Master Raju!
Not sure if I did any justice, but I sure enjoyed singing this oldie version.
Thanks to dear Rahul for the lovely k-track.
Meragana Track was missing some key parts like the mukhada and antara hook lines don’t get a chance to be repeated! :-( So, I have given it my own touch at places, of course trying to retain the original punch.
Hope you can enjoy as best as you can, and do drop in your encouraging constructive f/bs.
Movie: Khushboo (1975)
Song: Ghar Jaayegi
Vocal: Asha Bhosle
Music : Rahul Dev Burman
Lyrics: Gulzar

@Kala Chechi – I love the movie and all the songs in this. In fact, most of Hema movies have lovely songs like in Kinara.
@Rahul- Thanks dear for your wonderful f/b. Yes, the jumping notes and the voice style was quite a challenge for me… Yep, Calorie-free is the way to go! :-)

@Harshan, Sarmi, Latha, Rakesh, Govindji, Harry – Thanks for the favs. This song is cute and the punchline “Dulhaniya Mar jaayegi” does play on laya. RDB ki jai ho! The shout in the end ain’t no little one – it was: Yours truly! :-)
