Chandane Shimpit Jaashi - Marathi Bhavgeet
Chandane Shimpit Jaashi - M... Lyrics & Chords
Mahatma Gandhi once said “When I admire the wonder of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in worship of the Creator”
One such composition enumerating the Lady Moon – again comes from the treasure-trove of Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, based on a beautiful poem by Raja Bedhe. The tune is based on Raga Hamsadhwani, sung brilliantly like the Shining moon by Asha Bhonsle.
Movie/Album :AAWAZ CHANDNYACHE (PART-1)
Lyricist :RAJA BEDHE
Singer : ASHA BHOSLE
(chandane shimpit jaashi chalata tu chanchale
onjali udhalit moti hasari tarafule ) – 2
vahati aakashganga ki katichi mekhala
tejpunjachi zhallalli taar padaraagunfile
chandane shimpit jaashi chalata tu chanchale
guntavile jeev he manjeer ki payi tujhya
je tujhya talavari, bolavari nadavale
chandane shimpit jaashi chalata tu chanchale
I dedicate my attempt of this song to all my Marathi and Mumbaikar friends, and also a special Thanks to Adina Galani who was asking me to do a Marathi upload…
I have recorded this just after barely recovering from sore-throat and allergies… Please do bear with slight issues and diction mistakes.
Look forward to your wonderful feedback as always.

Sudha, beautiful song! Congrats for having chosen it in the first place, and then again for the excellent rendering. A bit out of breath at a few junctures, but that was probably because of singing at one stretch.
BTW, this is not hamsadhwani-I can hear the dhaivatham note frequently-there is more of Bhupali(mohanam) in the song.
