Of course, I love music…
But music for me is not just a passion but a way to unfold and release all the positive energy we have in us.
Hope to listen to all the amazing artists here, and enjoy myself…
I love Indian music – ranging from light peppy to semi-classical rag-based. I have learnt some Carnatic music and now am a student in Hindustani vocal. I love listening and singing bhajans too. I actively sing in the Boston area – performing devotionals in the local temples and also participating in local musical fundraisers for charitable causes. I also encourage talent – no matter where and who it is from…
Under the Bollywood umbrella, my favorite singers are Lataji, Ashaji, Kishore Kumar, Mohd.Rafi, Manna Dey, and current ones – Chitra, Shreya Ghoshal, Mahalaxmi Iyer…
Music directors – R.D. Burman, Rehman, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Ismail Darbar, Madan Mohan, SalilDa, Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Illaya Raja.
I enjoy Marathi bhavgeet, natyasangeet, abhangs and bhakti geet immensely and perform locally as well… Was winner of New England Marathi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in Boston area 2011.
