IN A RESTAURANT- written by Freddy Heineken & Herbie Hancock

IN A RESTAURANT- written by... Lyrics & Chords

The song ‘in a Restaurant’ was written by the late famous beer brewer ‘Freddy Heineken’ and his friend Herbie Hancock. One day in the South of France they had lunch…. While chatting about music, in front of their eyes, there unfolded a little drama…. They observed everything and Freddy said to Herbie; ‘lets go home and write a song about this’. And so it happened. Pamela Philips Oland, who got to know Freddy thanks to Frank Sinatra, she put it all together in her famous way. A few months before Freddy passed away, he allowed me to record the song. It has become one of my favorites, as I’m able to show my gratitude for all Freddy has done for me….
