Hi Tara, brace urself for my honest assesment,

Mukhda – some words are not heard properly, especially the latter parts of the words like baaT (one or 2 places) and Zindagi (2nd time in mukhda)….The T and Z are kinda missing or do not convey the feel of that word. Since i know the song, i know the lyrics too….but for a first time listener, it might sound a bit tough to follow…. Looks like in the quest of removing breath noises from ur recording by FADE IN-OUT controls, the start and end words of some lines got clipped…….Please check it.

“Phool ko” “har kisiko” “aaYEEEEEEEE” are misspelled or pronounced incorrectly……

Then some vocal lag follows. but not big a deal:)

“Darr” “sambhlega” “payeeeeeeeeeee” could be revisited:) “koi” at 1:38 could have been better….sounded slight off to me….

some places u caught the mood perfect but as the song progressed i could sense you becoming a bit stiff in your extending notes, probably loss of breath….but u can look into that too and improve….

For a matter of fact, i did not like the mixing very much……IMHO, its too sharp for my ears and not very well suited for ur voice texture……ur vocals sounds the best without the EQ’s……Remember Kangal Irandaal :)

The energy in the song is good and u could have sailed it even without EQ’s and there could have been a bigger impact….But I still liked it….

I loved the way u sang the word “FARISSSHTA”….loads of attitude in it……For that i’ll add this to my favs……

As u know i love ur voice, so these are just pointers for u to improve. No one mentioned it before so I thought of pointing them out to you….

5/5 for sure and towards the improvement too for the future:)

It was a pleasure for making you sing this song and mix it for you. You have sung this beautifully. I love Nazia’s songs, and they are very nostalgic. I agree with all the pointers above w.r.t. mixing. I too agree there is a slight lag between tracks. AJ, I felt this song required that extra bit of EQ, reverb, and delay, but I agree with you on a little bit more of EQ used than necessary. Will correct it next time, bro!!!! Tara, if time permits, please try to cover Nazia’s song, they suit your voice very much!!!!
