This wonderful melodious song from ‘Dilli ka Thug’ is my favourite from college days.
What to say about Kishor da ? I owe him a lot. I think, he created a different image of a hero…. always laughing and making others laugh through his funny acts…. doing some mischiefs all the time…. a lovable, sensitive friend who dances as he likes and sings as well…. and not a hero who is a bodybuilder or a fight master of marshal arts or a salsa or break dance expert…. He portrayed a ‘Paagal Premi’in most of his roles. I would really like to have such person around in my real life. I always liked Nutan for her innocent, cute smile. I love her speaking eyes. And ohhhhh…. what expressions she has given in this song ? She literally takes us into trans and makes us experience that moment. And when Aashaji has put everything of her in this…. why not this song will be an immortal masterpiece ? The use of mandolin is also what we remember from this song.
Swati is of my daughter’s age. So, you can say, this is a performance of two generations and we have tried our best to make this generation gap invisible yet pleasurable to listen. Your comments please.
