I don’t know if it’s a quality or a flaw in me but if I like something, I have a habit of doing it for a long long time until I get tired of it. It applies to eating food, listening to music or singing a song.
At this particular time I am going through, ‘Shreya Ghoshal’ phase, so you have no escape but to listen to me trying out her songs. Here is a song from the movie ‘Jab we met’ that I enjoy.The best part of the song that I enjoyed singing is the ‘Harmony’,and I had a blast figuring out and singing it.It is rather challenging song since there is lot of processing of vocals that has been done in the original recording, though achieving same results is almost impossible, I have tried my best to get similar effect and feel to the song.
Hope all of you will be forgiving enough in case it’s not reaching your expectations.

Swati ji wonderful singing…. May be the most precise singing for this one…. This stands out for me in terms of singing….
@Mix…. It got a telephone kinda effect to the main vocals…. which took away the main frequencies which lead vocals should have…. Try to remove that effect…. Instead sing two harmony tracks n fit them in with the main vocals…. should sound much open & more like the original…. or you can use a lil bit of chorus effect through ‘Send’….
Overall…. Singing wise the best so far for this Song in perticular…. Very good…. Thumbs up from me…. Will wait for a revised mix for the ‘Favorite Option’ :D

Swati …pretty late here. Nice effort covering this energetic song, you have done a good job. I would like to point out something which no one has covered upstairs, that is you tend to suppress your voice as you go on high registers….you dont really sing full blast. Songs like this will sound far better with open throated singing ….LIKED it.

Thank you for the compliments and for the observation of ‘at high notes vocal not being open and loud.’If the note is too high I try not to sing it very open that keeps from breaking of voice.I am still learning ‘mixing’ and here I have just tried some things with EQs, though I have been told that I have done a terrible job of mixing by breaking all the basic rules of ‘Mixing’ ……lolzzzz.
Shampak is going to be gracious enough to mix it for me,and we will keep the updated version soon.
