This recording is sooo good (I am comparing it with your very first)! You have sung so beautifully. Mixing is awesome too! Slightly nasal in very few places (eg. 1:40) but nothing much to worry about….

Only nitpicks are you could be more open at the higher registers (thereby losing the slight nasality…) and also pronunciation could be a tad better…

Raj! Your prologue about this cover and its intent has brought a smile to my gloomy face… :-) And with that, you have just put a bug to the listeners’(married, of course) ears – anyone can sweeten his/her nuptial life through music as this… An adorable gesture… And demand to shop something can be put-forth after such posts of songs… :-)

Your song-pick says it all… Am nobody to comment on the diction and other parameters… But could say only one thing which I noticed – the high registers could have been dealt with an open-throat as strain is scattered there when u hit those notes with nasal-influence… A nitpick of course… And the flow with which u rendered this is amazinggggg…. Very soothing like a feather-touch to the soul…. And take care of the clarity in the delivery of notes, as in few places I spotted u were missing out the confidence with which u have started this song…. A perfect recording tagged with a splendid mastering with an enviable voice has intrigued me to mark this as one of my favourites… Good Luck…

P.S: Hope the comments serviced are more than enough to appease ur wife… If not pass the buck to us… ;-)

2) I think u are a kannadiga…. I think u should improve on the pronunciation of Hindi Words….

3)And the ‘Adaayen hain’ , ‘Hawaayen hain’ parts of the song – you have sung it with a flat landing. You could sing that muchhhhh better….

I do think there should be a little more punch on ‘adaayein hain’ and ‘hawaayein hain’, but doesn’t matter given that it has so much emotion in it!

Dear Swaraj….nice work.
Your voice has a nice earthy texture and sound very innocuous :)
You need to learn how to ‘steal’ breaths at the right points in your song….at certain points you sounded slightly out-of-breath. That apart pay special focus on the lower notes….that will take your singing to the next level. Just my 2 cents :)
