Hi Friends,
Swamiye Sharanam Ayyappa! I have been thinking of uploading a song as an offering to the Lord since some time. Was unable to record anything during the Makaravilakku season in January. I decided to upload a song for the Vishu Vilakku, which is when Sabarimala will open again for a month if I am not wrong.
Here is my humble effort in attempting this wonderful song sung by the great Dr. KJY. This is a song which is very close to my heart. There are some mistakes in the song, but did not unfortunately have the time to correct them, due to time constraints. Kindly pardon.
This song also happens to be one of my mother’s most favourite! So Amma, this goes for you!
Once again, I would like to sincerely thank Unni and Ajeeshettan for helping me with recording this song! OWE you bros a lot! Unni was patient to even mix this down for me! Thanks a lot bros! :) A special thanks to Rahul for the moral support and also for helping me with clarity of words! :)

I have not heard the original song But even if I listened to the original I would say yours is the best.
You have sung it with open throat and this shows your original voice and could see that you have not tried to imitate KJY sir.

I was once crazy abt this and kept singing at home on a tamil version of Yesudas, that had the lyrics as ‘Swami Sangeetha thaen pozhiyum, yezhisai paadagan ayyaa naan, jaba maalayaal enthan kaigalil mandhira sruthi meettum thamburu konden, Swamy Ayyappa swaamy sabarimalai swamyyyyy’. I know it requires absolute grace, commitment and people’s blessings to render this close to perfection. As I’ve mentioned earlier, I envy your voice next to KJ Yesudoss.
