This song, a brilliant composition by Illayaraja for the Kamal film Kalainjan and excellently rendered by KJY and Janaki, is one of my all time favourites. Always wanted to sing this but unfortunately I could not get the track. One day when my good friend Biju Ramachandran introduced me to this track, i decided i should sing this. Requested Radhika Nair to sing this number with me and she agreed instantly without any hesitation.

Since I could spend only a few days in Chennai this visit, she recorded the song at short notice. I sincerely thank you Radhika for having made this happen, inspite of your hectic schedule and you have done a phenomenal job
