Beyond the Stars - Original Composition
Beyond the Stars - Original... Lyrics & Chords
Beyond the stars
Coming out in the open space
Staring aimlessly at the sky
I feel the fresh air on my face
I wish I had wings to fly
Want to touch the depth of oceans
Want to look beyond the stars
Drink in a gulp the love potion
Catch each moment even it is far
I feel the best is coming now
Welcoming the worse along
Don’t ask what, why and how
Live each day to reach the stars and beyond
Lyrics – Mitushi Kapoor
Music & Vocals – Sumit Rai
Thanks for listening :)

Good tune and lyrics also.
The guitar could be tuned a little more.
The style brought some of Bob Dylan to mind.

Sumit…this was awesome…like sanjeeb said…u did make it sound more like Bob Dylan
try putting in a little variation…something like how the beginning of “United we Stand” is !but great stuff….you should definitely do more originals
what guitars are you using and what are you recording with?

Nice simple composition Sumit. Simple hook and totally hummable. Its nice to see you collaborate and make original music. Like Sudeip said, since this is a simple composition, try to make subtle variations when u sing the stanzas. Keep up the good work! 5/5 from me.

i live , eat and play with Audacity
i have cubase but i have no idea how to use it
the problem i really have is…there is only sooo much i want to do with Technology !
call me a little old fashioned….
i definitely like to MIX my stuff using computers but beyond that i dont like to infuse anything computerised
Most of my songs also incorporate tonal arpeggios but even these i play them live while recording them. I refrain from creating loops and so on.
My School of thought is generally you have to make music that can be played live ! so be it a keyboard piece or guitars.
I am quite lazy to sit down and go through all the stuff thats there in the software. Ever since i learnt how to play keyboards and guitars i have really stuck to those single instruments…my equipment is really like 10 – 12 years old and trust me i have done a Ph.D on them ! lol….ne ways having said its a constant struggle to try to keep “upgrading” your sound your software !
throw in a full time job and thats it…all you want to do is just play and care less what equipment you are using…know what i mean ?
anyways …thats my 2 cents on integrating technology and music (if you choose to play that Live!)

Wow thanks for sharing all that info with me :) . I have always thought best things come in small packages :) and also best things are for free :) atleast what i’ve said applies to audacity :) . it certainly would have been great if all songs were made of four chords and still sound great and dinstinct. a part of this is also true :) . I really dont like too much of technology myself when it comes to music , some of the best musicians ever were just using a guitar or a piano :) and some not even that :)
