This was something that was totally unplanned and Me and George were exchanging a few emails and the word “Beat it” popped up at somepoint !! All i remember is talking to George completing the vocals at 4 am and he had actually lost his voice :)

Wow! Thats sheer power! That was sung beautifully, though could feel the strain in George’s voice. He sure did hold on through the song.

Dudes and Dudettes – Thank you very much for all the awesome feedback. Much appreciated. Sudeip and I had an absolute blast working on this.
So heres the story behind the track: I was working on an original composition with Shashank and wanted Sudeip to do the guitarwork for it. So I suggested he try something like the guitar work in Beat It and Sudeip agreed. Anyways around 9:00 pm I got a call from Sudeip and he said “I have a surprise for you. You know I’m crazy right? So guess what I did?” I had no clue! Anyways, he had worked on Beat It instead of the original composition!!!! Needless to say I loved it and the rest is History!!

Sudeip and George, way to go dudes…. i think you guys had loads of fun doing this number, which shows in the outcome.
Sudeip arrangement was awesome man, loved it totally. Georgy way to go bro, loved your high energetic vocals man…. goes straight into my favs…. remember doing this version on stage recently in a show in Toronto, i know how hard it is to hit those high notes, that’s why chose to sing the easy part in the song i.e. " Beat It Beat It " :-}…… the actual song was sung by our base guitarist.
Awesome is the word guys…. loved it.

@Prateek …yes i guess George just took that “still of the night” to the next notch !!
@Ronak…. george did tell me that i did the whole recording at a slower tempo…its again difficult for me to tell because the original beat is compltetey different from the beat i used …that perhaps makes it sound a little slower…the other thing was i handed off the entire music to George and then he realized it was a little slower ! i am talking about drums , bass , orchestration , 2 rhythm guitars and 1 solo !! lol …that wouldve meant redoing the whole thing for me and i had already spent almost 20 hrs doing the whole track ! BTW for the intro…i kept it that way to give it a very informal …Live set up kind of feel and then just give a heads up that its going to be a “louder” version lol !!!
