@Rohan : yes for a change i used a backing track as well ;) too much work doing the drums and the bass. I figured i can concentrate on the guitars and vocals instead of making the backing track myself

Hi Prem
i spent about 2 hrs practising this one i havent been well so i had some time to get some music done.

Meanwhile yes there was a lot of discussions on my guitar tone…and everytime i would sit down to change it , it ended up sounding the same. so that was a big struggle.

Gaurav , GG and a few others as well had the same complaint that the guitar tone should change. GG had given me a few tips to change the tone and i took that as a starting point and then worked around that.

I had a Hi-EQ was very high …so once i got rid of that my tone was fine…i ve been using the guitar through my boom box and that sounds different from an Amp…all in all…the tones i use to record cannot be used on Amps and the tones i use on Amps cant be used to record…its a very studio/live set up thingy

@GG….i think there could be some debate on that……well as of today Slayer is a thrash metal band but their earlier work…show no mercy and south of heaven were really meant to be earlier death metal…i think Sepultura did the same back in the day…Max Cavalera is a huge fan of Slayer…and Morbid Visions , Schizophrenia , Beneath the remains and Arise were all supposedly Death Metal until Max Officially announced they were jumping off the death metal band wagon

This is totally my personal opinion and finding but after the whole black metal scene that started off in Norway with bands like Bathory, Emperor and reportedly acts of anarchy and anti religious propaganda began to take shape …most American bands jumped off the band wagon….

i guess thats what created the genres black metal and so on….but bands like Carcass ( Michael Amott of Arch Enemy ) and Obituary and Death ( Chuck Schuldiner ) stayed true to the roots of Death Metal where Death or the Grim Reaper was always viewed as a source of Entertainment…quite literally ! lol

i just got a chance to talk about my favorite subject here :D sorry for taking off !! :) feel free to contribute !! :) all you “metalheads” :D

…and yes Most of my findings are believe it or not from VH1 …lol !! the guy DIO started that whole “\m/” satan sign cos his Grandma used to do it all the time and that was his tribute !

If you get on Wikipedia or even google “Death Metal” and so on…you might get some nice interesting articles…its a good read when ur working for the man in office on a 9 to 5 job and cursing your damned luck since you need that so bad to pay those damned bills ! …as we say in mumbai …"Paapi Peth ka sawaaal hain " …lol
