If someone gets mocked at, for being a fan of Raj Kiran-IR combo songs, am one in the crew to be scoffed as well… :D Raj Kiran not only collaborated with IR for the movies he acted as the protagonist but also roped-in IR for the movies, he produced… Such a deadly combination it was then, giving the movies of this association the highest position in the charts…. Would also like to tell that Ramarajan-IR was also one of the best duo having given some immortal piece of music… So include me to back u if u feel u would be laughed at…. :-)

A delicate song situation which is really challenging for any composer…. Pine of a lady wanting her lover, expressed through her singing -- only S.J is capable of delivering it, IMO…. Another classic example is ‘Paal polavey’ from ‘Uyarndha Manithan’ which has fetched P.Susila a National Award for playback singing and it was artistically composed by MSV…. Just thought of sharing it here… :-) Pertaining to ur singing, I dont have to say anything as u already have registered ur benchmark here…. Over all an awesome package… You are definitely epitomising perfect & professional singing… Hats off… And I have to laud ur efforts of going with single-take recordings…. Would love to listen to ur other renditions of those primitive days(as u have mentioned)…. And would request you to upgrade ur account…. Would you???

Have not heard this song before. Excellent singing with apt modulations and feel. Agree with above on the punch in locations being too obvious. I would suggest singing the entire charanam (or pallavi) multiple times rather than just the spots you want to correct. This will improve the flow.

Subhashini, This is one of the 3 SJ duets that I love the most. Of course, Singravelane Deva is at the top, followed by Naadham En Jeevane and this song. You sang this song very well and brought out the mood of the song. As others mentioned, you changed the sangathis in one or two places and that sounded nice. Very well done. Keep it up.

I love Raj Kiran, Rama Rajan, Gangai Amaran, Kovai Thambi, Sangili Murugan, Fazil not for their acting/production/direction skills but for getting the best songs from Isai Gnani Ilayaraja.

This song rocked Tamil Nadu when the movie released. I still remember audience asking for “Once More” for this song.
