Sound effect of a railway station in Mumbai...by Harshan
Sound effect of a railway s... Lyrics & Chords
I am again back with a sound effect – this time of a typical busy railway station in Mumbai…like VT or Dadar. I havent taken an electric train in Mumbai after I came to the US, so this from my distant memory from 15 yrs ago…LOL
Typically in Mumbai the announcer announces the arrival of the train in 3 languages, hindi ,english and Marathi….and it will always sound muffled….there would be a lot of noise on the railway station with people chattering, hawkers….raising their voices to sell cold drinks, vada pava, blind and crippled singers…(singing ugad daar dewa atha, hai malik tere bandh hum) competing against one another, sound of crows or dogs screaming…total chaos….and offcourse the dreadful honk of the electric trains. Also when the train is about to come in the station, many people want the window seats reserved….they could be playing cards or singing bhajan all the way….salute to the spirit of the Mumbaikers.
This is an addition to my sound effects.
Here are links if you havent heard it yet.
Tsunami despair in sound
Arrival of the king
Sabji market in Mumbai
After the sad demise of Jagjit ji…I thought I could bring some smile on your faces….did it in 1.5 hours with 6 overlayed tracks. Long time ago when I had done the sound effect of a Bhaji market, sudha had requested that i do something with a railway station……so here it goes in dedication to sudha’s request… :-)
My next song post is an original score…until then no more cover…this is just for fun !!
Just imagine you are standing in the station…close your eyes…and listen to this on headphones. Its short……but it was a lot of work and imagination….hope u like it :)
Each and every sound in this track is produced by my vocal chords….and again I love doing this creative stuff more than singing cover….bear with me. :)

All the voices you detailed were pristine clear. I specially loved the crows voice haha. Great addition to the track to bring in every possible intruders with their voice :-). Salute your creative brain and your vocal chord that is coping with your brain.
It was wonderful to have worked with your previous creations through my track. It motivates me to create one more again :). Give me an idea, so i could make a track.
