I am so happy that you did a very good job with the diction:) Still some words like “dHHoop”, “gHar”, “saZAAAA” could be improved………But thats nitpicking bro and since u know me, its really difficult not to pinpoint them to you:)
You kept the essence of the song and the vibratos in the low notes came out very well……But all said and done, I agree with you that some more polishing can be done….But nevertheless, we are not professionals and not creating professional covers so, I liked ur honest attempt…….mix is good too….

‘RO RAHAAAA’ is my fav’ line in this one….You created the same impact as in the original…Thanks for introducing this song to me……Its just because of you, I did get a chance to hear this haunting melody.

Harshan, seeing your post, I searched for the orignal song of Kishoreda’s and listened to it first and then heard yours.
I’d say good job! Yup, a couple of diction errs, and there were sudden spikes in the amplitude in a couple of places I think….but all that technicalities apart, your voice sounded very nice. And I felt you’d done good justice to the feel of the song…

Hi Harshan, the Ghar in the beginning of the 2nd stanza felt like Gar…Maybe the starting of the vocals got snipped a bit, so that effect…otherwise, in the 3rd stanza, the ‘Khafa’, ‘Sazaa’, and the ‘Mausam’ were slightly off diction… :)
But pls rest assured, this was no way a let down….the feel you tried to bring in is very nice…

Sorry for being late here Harshan. Never heard this song before. You have sung it nicely. The expressions, pitching were all good. From an improvement perspective, the only thing I can point out is diction. Some words like “beKHabar”, “KHafa” etc could be pronounced better. Otherwise, LIKED it!

Nice soothing song.This reminds me of an old Lata song though cannot remember the name.
Overall the song has come out good but at some places you have not adhered to the ‘sur’, it is flat, or sharp at places.If you can do a bisic ‘sa re ga ma’ practice with Taanpura,Harmonium or any instrument,that will help.And with the feeling also.Keep on singing some of these untouched songs.

This song is very similar to Maana Ho Tum (Yesudas), also by Bappi Lahiri. In fact anthara first line is the same ditto tune!.

Voice projection is important for these kind of songs and your vocal is low in the mix Harshan. Nicely rendered but should be bolder and more clear. Also the mild yodelling in some places that Kishore does brings the emotion. You should try for more feel is my humble opinion. Nevertheless you have sung it carefully and this is to be appreciated.

Had to sing in a real subdued tone, to bring the feeling of lowness……if I had made it bolder then whatever feel is left would have been lost. I get what you are saying ….about breaking the voice …its not easy for me …:-)

Tough song because of the slow pace and long trailing notes and you have done really well in keep the flow of the song. I would say the last line of the antaras could be sung a bit more powerfully and then modulate back to soft when starting the Sapnon – if you know what I mean. But that is just minor nitpick.

Keep up the good work and don’t give us excuses like cold weather etc. for not posting more often :-).

Very nice rendition!! You have a unique choice of songs….I must say! I agree….this song is difficult to sing. With low scale throughout, maintaining expressions and sur is not easy at all! But your voice did very good justice to the song. Just one thing: at some places there were blows in the mic….i think that can be easily edited…. overall, very soothing and pleasing to the ears :)
