Sree- Very good rendition. Some pointers for improvement cos this is one song that i have heard so many times that even a small slip from the original will strike my ears………

1. DEKHA, HAI RE, GHAR, CHONDENGE, PEECHA has diction issues……not pronounced properly……and these are the most important stress points of the song……So this was a big red flag for me ……….

2.In the first antara, when u repeat the “MIT JAYENGE, MAR JAYENGE”……i mean u tried it but was not perfect…….KK has sung the JAYENGE with a lot of punch and attitude in these lines……very funny too….Hear the original again and see what i mean……

3. You could have poured a little more expression in HAI RE……its a beutiful line in the composition which is difficult to master but u certainly has the talent to do it…….

4. I like the way u sang the last anatara “Ghar se chale Khaake Kasam”……I think it had the huskiness, the softness and the attitude for the rendition……Should have sing the whole song in the same manner as the last antara…….hear the song again and u will hear the diff when the last anatara come……the imp word to look for is SOFTNESS then….

Overall, knowing u being a great singer of this community, I will say i still loved it….its a difficult song and u managed quite well….The expressions and the mimicry was fantastic….very professionall done….keep up the good work and hope u dont mind my honest suggestions….

Nice one harshan. The histrionics are simply awesome. You stuck to the rhythm and scale and the performance was splendid. I havent heard the original but from how KK sings his songs there is bound to be more throw and emphasis. But your voice and scale has just about overcome this aspect of your singing.

This is an amazing rendition of a song that is not easy because of the nakhras you have to do with the voice! You have an amazing voice range and even very top singers may not be able to imitate (sing) this song! You have carried it off beautifully.

Can I request you to help me out with suggestions regarding clean (unmuffled) recording since you have kindly pointed out to the defect which I want to rectify. I use Goldwave software for recording and i-ball mic (cheap-Rs.500)for voice.How do you detect the muffling? Do you use an earphone to listen?

Abhi bhi yaad hai woh din as that was my first annual day singing to a 3000 seater auditorium packed to capacity – everyone backstage and in the hall were dancing to your rendition.

Your voice has not changed and remains as youthful as ever but your rendition has changed a lot in that you are carefully rendering the song while being fully involved in the song.

In fact I think you should sing this song again (re-record) so ye last saal ka difference bhi aa jayega. In your songs from a year ago to now, I can see significant improvements.

I love the energy you have brought in – also takes you to the scene in the movie as you have brought out the same pace and mahaul of the song. Thoda diction ka issue hai lekin aisa gaane me kaun ye sab dekhne ke liye wait rahen hain :-) Bas mazaa aa gaya !
