A great composition by RDB….he was as good at composing boat songs, as SDB.
Anand Bakshi and Kishore Kumar were nominated for Filmfare award for- “Chingari Koi Bhadke” in 1973 and lost to Verma Malik and Mukesh respectively for “Jai bolo Beimaan ki”…. !!!

I was expecting this from you for a long time to be honest… :) Great choice! This song has a very peculiar feel and touch… I mean the tune, BGM, lyrics and the wonderful singing by the great Kishoreda all put together gives the song a very different feel… Listener would get immersed in it automatically….

You have done a very good job in this one… But for me “Pukartha Chala Hoon Main….” still is ur best performance! :) You were excellent in this song too… The line “Madira jo pyaas….” and its repetition was excellent! The slight flavor of a drunk person singing the line was felt in ur style of singing… Excellently emoted sir! Great work! The only nitpick would be the slight shakiness in ur voice, which at a few places makes u lose the right note… This apart awesomely done!

This one sounded totally awesome man!. Did you swallow some Kishore da potion!?. I especially liked your line endings which you left dangling in delight for me to be in awe!. Superb feel too which I liked … only in a couple or so places I expected a bit more definition rather than the soothing over that you gave it, like at 2:25.

Your voice showed that you are in command of the language and therefore the confidence in expression came with that. That was totally good!.

As many have said above, I totally agree…. your best to date and go get ’em!.

I listened carefully your song 2 times. You have a good soft nice voice.

Couple of errors. Bujhaye is not pronounced properly which is the start of the song.

Honestly it needs a lot lot of improvement. Every song has a murki and expressions like Kaun and that Kaun should appear like kaun.

Hum se mat poocho kaise, poocho kaise is not correct.

Next antra was good.

Nahin chalta – also needs improvement.

Again logon ka dosh nahin hai, does not show any despair.

Practise more and everything will fall in right place for you.

Very nice singing Harshan sir. you have a very nice voice quality I loved it. At some points felt you are strugling with breath control & missing the feel of the song. But overall It was best. not less than 9/10 for your great effort.

Certainly a great song that has the Bengali touch in it in all sense – through the tune, the composer and the singer. And you have rendered it Harshan, extremely well (and your voice and rendition are very emotive, which also indicate that this song must be so close to your heart).

I have (personally) a very different view about this song. This song suits according to me more to the soft Rafi saheb-like voice than that of Kishore da. But our ears which have been so accustomed to this song through Kishore da’s golden voice will always tend to compare with that only whenever we hear it through another voice. That is the biggest flaw in listening to film songs. When you listen to someone singing a film song, what happens the most is comparison with the original singing and the original score, with the result relishing the uniqueness of the current singer’s attempt is lost.

But since I am not much exposed to Hindi film songs, I enjoy the pure melody and the sweetness in your voice and your beautiful singing talent, while listening to this song right now.
