I consider myself to be an ordinary singer with a good ear for music. I am not a trained singer and hence I know my limitations. I love songs which are melodious, I love pathos too …I generally go for songs with a lot of expressions. To me music is just a bunch of sounds which in a coordinated fashion …creates a mood …I dont even see the need for lyrics to be there in a song …you can hum that tune and if you convey the right expressions ….the work is done…again just my opinion …I am sure many will not buy this arguement. Also I am not a believer that a particular song needs a particular tone of voice in most cases …it is very interesting to hear a different tonal quality which renders the same song. Music for me is gods gift, medium for recreation and relaxation. I am a serious listener and listen to all sorts of music except for heavy metal. I joined muziboo to hear and share views with more music minded people …and I am glad I did :-) Welcome your views on this :-)

You always had a positive impact on me, you are the first one who are there to help me when I was struggling to find a balance between singing and mixing. I take this opportunity to thank you for that.
I think you got a nice tonal quality in your voice, you can sing any song without making much fuss about it. Your ability to sing some high pitched songs sometimes amazes me. Please continue what you are doing and keep practicing as much as you can. Try concentrating more on the feel of the song, and at times you tend to go off in some songs. Please try to avoid these, and If you are serious about singing then I would suggest you to at least take basic vocal lessons, which will help you great deal in getting the small things right.
Thanks Smitha ….You are correct this platform has really helped to push further. Yes I do take comments in the right spirit and try to improve upon to the best of my abilities. Otherwise I dont benefit much out of these comments….this is the best way to thank the listeners for their time and invaluable feedback.
Dhiraj bhai ….Glad to have known you ….yes I remember those times ….3 years ago when we were all busy with the blog. Appreciate it man …that you still remember those days ….I did take basic voice lessons after coming to the US for a year (but I dont consider this vocal training by any means), just touched some Ragas like shankarabaranam, mohanam. Then , work and many other things took its toll and I discontinued it. That short training has really helped me to steady my notes to the most part …thanks for your reply buddy.

And I have seen you have imporved with every upload and I have noticed one more quality in you i.e. you strive for perfection, I wish I could be like you. I have a belief that mixing is very important however it can’t help you until unless you have a good voice and I am sure your one of the best voices on muziboo. You have shown that in your renditions…
I have seen your talent in “Dekha na haye re” :), the stregth of your voice in “Pukar lo”……., “Dil ke Jharokhe”

Thanks Rakesh ….for the reply …I have a long way to go and it has been a pleasure being in the midst of very talented singers on muziboo including you. Also appreciate all the kind words you wrote here, In my opinion as Sudhathee once put it ….rendering filmi songs is not all about sur and thaal …its about the soul. I love expressive singers ….sur thoda idhar udhar ho gaya tho mere liye chal jata hai ….par dil ku chuni chahiyee,….hope to hear a lot from you.

You are one of the best singers here ….once you iron out your recording/mixing skills it will really showcase your voice and talent. Yes Dil ke jharonke is my personal favourite too ……I dont know how I sang those high notes :-)

I think the best quality u have is ur dedication and ur passion to keep getting better. That’s a rare quality and I think that will take u a long way. Singing wise, I have been hearing u for the past couple of months and I think u r getting better with each song.
