Was thinking about this for sometime. Some of our Muzibooan’s do not even acknowledge comments posted on their music. I find this a little weird that people dont take the time to acknowledge the comments posted on their songs. In my opinion acknowleding the comments, is a way of saying …Yes I do appreciate you taking the time to listen to me. Its like forgetting to say “Thankyou” on stage after you get an ovation from the audience. Please feel free to share your thoughts in this regard ……

Hi Sridhar
Sure … we can add a line in your comment email or something to encourage a reply. However beyond that its upto people. However I have seen that if a lot of people do it, it becomes a culture here. Thats how usage of signature and some other things picked up.
Just like how group discussions are picking up right now :)

Another idea I have is for people to have groups and a set of rules that have to be adhered to be part of the group. Be it acknowledging somebody’s time or taking time out to listen to other’s song to comment before requesting for comments for one’s own song, everything can be made rules of the group. When this picks up group moderation can be introduced.
Earlier a group called Rate my music was formed where members of the group before posting the song there for comment or rating should compulsorily take time out to comment on 5 songs above theirs.
Such groups if somebody can take charge can really help drive a decent culture. Songs that are posted by people who dont adhere to the rules can be removed from the group by reporting.
Do you people think it is feasible?
Cheers,
Nithya

Right … if there are more people who are willing to administer groups, we can add basic group moderation tools (banning members, removing songs posted or deciding whether songs can be posted at all or not). However there should be atleast few active groups for us to do this coding :)

I agree and second with this as well. Saying thanks is essential when someone takes the time to listen and comment on your song. muziboo should recommend this as a good practice from all the users.
