Master stroke for an idea Harshan. Nice to see George, Azam, and Ranjith seconding him – people that are already well known in the community.

Yes, established Muzibians can be a lil bit more nurturing towards new talents signing up. Some times singers come in, wet their feet and are gone. They feel (wrongly though) that they will never be welcome for their abilities or fear (misplaced though) that it may be difficult for them to get accepted into the already existing tight circles of friendships. It is here that Harshan’s idea helps, help project that we are not an elitist mafia, but a very inviting bunch, whose aspirations are very similar to theirs everytime we log on to Muziboo. The aspirations of finding an audience for our voices and enjoying other works that have hitherto remained unheard. No less no more, we are not here to ‘prove’ anything. It will ease the new member’s assimilation into this brilliant community.

In this connection, I have one humble suggestion to make. Ranjith watch your toes, I am gonna step on them hard. Kuhoo Gupta does not fit the profile of someone who needs the NEWMEMBER tag. She has already announced her arrival loud and clear – 9 songs, a comment from Pradip that she needs to get out of Muziboo (that talented!!), and 100 odd comments she has made to encourage others. She needs no introduction. While Azam’s introduction Hemanth Sharma fits the profile.

I am very skeptical about what Prateek can do on this count beyond giving the blue tag. A very effective initiative this idea can turn into, if driven hard with intent by us patrons. The community thrives that community grows.

Way to go Harshan. For what I saw of you on the cricket field this is a nice comeback :-) You are okay mate :-)

It’s a great idea, when i joined this group about approx 1-1/2 month ago, it was very difficult for me to get audience for my song, hardly 2 or 3 members were listenning my song weekly and there was no feedback on it …….

Azam bhai’s thread recommendation will be surely an added advantage for the new members to explore their capablity, and to get audience for their uploaded songs.

Now the question is how the new members will come to know about the thread??. My suggestion is whenever a new member joins, muziboo should introduce him to all other old and new members of muziboo, enabling him to explore his talent and capablities…….

Sreeharshan ! very nice idea , one should always encourage new comers, and i will suggest Muziboo to change their pro account strategy as it discourage most of their audience to listen to new comers songs just because they are uploaded in very low quality, what i feel every one should get an equal level playing field.

Muziboo is not just limited to indians.Over time many people worldwide is gona join.Not many will be interested in all type of music. May be muziboo want to consider the idea of classifyin type of music and have ‘new intro’ discussions within that. When they upload new song .they can just bring it to others attention.
