To Maruthi:
Thanks. However, I beg to differ that my tone is the same as yours!. Secondly, I do not sing here to fulfil peoples’ expectations. I sing for my pleasure and to the best of my ability and imagination. Thirdly, there are no ‘Gamakas’ in this song, only ‘brigas’ dominate. There is always room for improvement and I thanks for pointing that out. Cheers.

Thanks. Actually I myself was not happy with that “Naadaswaram” bit … fell victim to late night recording, got tired and just left it. I am sure I can do better if I tried more. Honestly, I am not here to prove anything … I just do my best and if errors creep in, so be it. In the absence of a music director and sound engineer etc. it is hard sometimes to do a perfect job of everything. It’s like home made stuff compared to the 5-star restaurant!!. I must admit, my cooking skills are pretty average!!!. Cheers.

Arvind has a very nice and soothing voice. Sowmya’s voice is sounding like a combination of Vani Jairam and L R Easwari.

Thats fine. But I have seen that there are some artists in the blogs (like Pradip, Swati Kanitkar, Geroge Kuruvilla) who have pushed the performance levels (all home recorded ) to such good heights that people like me have become addicted to looking for diligent performers. All of us do keep commenting on each other to raise our standards.

I would be lying if I said I don’t sing to impress (which is as good as ‘proving a point’) when I post a song. I believe in creating sharing and being commented upon. With a friendly web of performing friends, it becomes a delightful exercise in learning and progressing. So please don’t get offended.
