Sowmya, I think the karaoke track is the culprit here, and the way you mixed it your voice was not clear enough.

And coming to singing, as usual you are good, strangely felt some off notes. Try re-doing it or re-mixing it. Keep them coming.

diction issues at places like ChoDo…….ur vocals were absolutely muffled……the variation of naaaaaaaa could have been better as its the essence of the song….at places felt timing issues, could be just a matter of syncing it properly…….i have heard ur voice before and u were mindblowing in dum maro dum, cant say it hear because of mixing……“ho na” at 4.16 was off pitch….also ur voice sounded nasal in some parts….take care of that….

i will request u to re record u again as this one was done 2 yrs back……do it again and u will rock….

I liked the energy in your voice and the expression in this song!. For me the other slight imperfections are largely overtaken by this fact and I was able to enjoy the song fully.

If I may add, you are one of the very few singers here who gives importance to expressive singing and is able to deliver it!.

Vocal had a bit of excessive echo but this is excusable really as it is an old recording with old equipment and software.

Good of you to post such a nice number!.
May be you should try the tamil version too!.

Hi sowmya,
I havent heard the orginal much…however after listening to your rendition and dum maro dum I felt you have a strong voice. I liked some the hardats……
I wont talk about off notes and diction since other friends upstairs have mentioned it….
But I would like to tell you that you can be more expressive, and you tend to get nasal at times……if you can curb the tendency to go nasal…you would sound lot better and natural
