Deeps – Sounded like Kumar Sanu’s version of the song lol :). Was the nsala tone deliberate? But lovely rendition with beautiful expressions and happy there were no offs :)

Meens – Bayangarama kalakkara. I adored the way you sang this song. Your voice was so soo thing to the ears. But again felt nasal tone in your voice and felt a bit muffled. Both your voices blended well. Namma pattaiyum konjam nadula kelungamma, kettuttu comemnt pannunga :)

Loved it and faving it.

Beautiful composition by SD Burman – actually it’s a Rabindra Sangeet original from Bengali, which SDB used to tune this song.

This is THE song of movie, where the actors and the audience’s hearts’ melt away and there is the much awaited catharsis that happens – due to the situation, meaning, Music and singing of this song.

Given that, I felt Deppesh and Meena – you both were holding back a little bit and could have opened up slightly more. (Wow! I just noticed Kala Vijay’s comment also in the same vein!! – I did not even look at it till now!)

Nice pick and nice attempt by both of you.

Small pointers on diction, pitching, and opened singing already covered….:) Also, it felt like both of you didn’t pay total 100% attention to what meaning the words conveyed…small issue, but that extra step would have given the feel an additional charm, coz this song is a heart-stealer… :))
but, loved both your voices….and very good attempt at conforming to details of the song… :)

Meena, A beautiful song that you have selected. I am still moved to tears when remembering the scene from the movie. On the whole, was melodious and good to listen. As a singer your contribution was only your sweet voice-especially in a song like this, there has to be more involvement and more of expressions to make it lively.
Deepesh, you have taken more efforts to build a nasal tone and make your voice sound like Kishore’s. Your singing was mechanical, moving from note to note.The emotive quality of his singing, and the flowing style are more important. If you give a careful listening to the original, you would feel the difference and know what is missing.
In spite of the pointers above, I still could enjoy the song because of its nostalgic effect-Congrats to both of you!
