Nice pick and nicely done by both of u.Enjoyed it.
Meena, Your voice resembled the legend Janaki ma at few places. I felt some sound was accompanying ur voice thruout. It cud hv been more clearer. ‘oNam’ cud hv been better. In second charanam, charanam to pallavi connection cud be better, tat descending part.
NVK sir – Your voice blended so well with the song. You seemed to sing effortlessly.

Very, very good cover both of you- Almost perfect! Such a tough song and very good job! Really enjoyed. Agree with Ramya: Meena’s “ONam” sounds odd and a little unpolished and same with “thEda” in second charanam, and shruthi lapse in “unjirippaalin….” line.
Otherwise, very nice, both of you! The last hummings in both charanams by both of you deserve special mention- very well done!

Meena : You sing fine. But probably need to understand how you should open your mouth for certain mallu words/vowels or else the pronunciation will get distorted as in ONam.

Very good singing as well as NVK sir…. Never knew Kamal Hasan has sung songs…. Knew he was a brilliant actor….but seems he’s a allrounder…. May be he should start playing cricket aswell….hee hee…. May be then India will bat well then in the champions trophy…. Just kidding…. Very good work…. Keep it up…. This song reminded me of a song in the film ‘Love’ Sathiya tune kya kiya’….similar kinda tune…. You can try that song as well…. Beautiful song by Balasubramuaium & Chitra ji…. Full marks from me….

Famous ground-breaking tamil song that has imbibed most listeners. A seemingly easy song that can fox an unaware singer from some angles!. One of Raja’s master-blends!

NVK, Great singing and liked your open rendition in this one. That was a treat and you sounded bolder than your usual self … way to go!. However, personally I feel that the kind of effects that you are using on your voice can be improved with more subtle reverb and delay to give more transparency. Just a subtle point but for me its worth adjusting … sounds a tad too processed.

Meena, Your mic is not cutting it when compared with NVK and so the voices are not blending that well in the mix. Your singing was good but would have been much better if your prounounciation in places didn’t stick out like a sore thumb!. ‘Sorgathil Aanandam THEDA’ was quite something!. More polish is desired and I am sure you will do it!. Your nuances will come out better with a decent condenser mic I feel. At the moment still a bit muffled in places. No obvious offs or anything so you are well on your way!. Kudos Meena!.

this is the first time I am hearing this song in a native keralite voice……NVK ji nice nice ….but one place could be improved. That brigha at coming back to pallavi.

Meena nice on shruthi ….expression is all over the shop….u are one of good singers in tamil renditions……aanandham thaeda needs some tinkering…… while bouncing the track dont normalize it……it will sure kill all your eq dynamics…I think thats what happened to your vocals.

Arvind…in fact I have not done any processing of my vocals… I have just added used the equiliser and added delay and reverb with little compression – as I do for all my songs.Anyway shall look for the areas needing correction …

Meena – many have already commented about the diction, but then great that you stepped out of your comfort song and attempted a Malayalam song. Sounded very sweet and good, but not sure if it was the effect added, clarity of some words were affected.
