Lovely pick Meena…. U started very beautifully…. And one requires real patience, gentle feel and dedication to deliver this kinda song. Meena u got such a mellifluous voice that I had myself tranquillised like a mosquito being surrendered to a Mortein repellent. ‘Sonnaaaaaaaaaaalum’ at 2:57 is stupendous. Male voice was also good. Mark my words, that male singer (athu yaaru Unni krishnana) will go places lol…. I could discern that there is an adjustment lag between the male and female portions of the track, take care of that techie stuff. This is one song that makes me sleep now a days, have becme a gr8 fan of this since last week…. Greatly impressed with ur cover too….

If asked to ink emotions, we can easily dwell on human emotions over paper, except for the feel which drives the odd emotion called admiration…. For a piece of art which is so appealing and keeping us spell-bound, we are left with no other option than just to admire… Am really castrated of my senses to write on this awesome composition…. I didn’t listen to this rendition due to various reasons – one of that being my urge to cover this for a long time…

Meena!!! Think u were on a hiatus for a period of time and happy to see that u r back with a bang stamping ur entry with success… First it was ur ‘Malarnthum Malaraatha’ with En Vee K sir which incited me to listen to ur other covers… Your ‘Idhazil Kathai ezhuthum’ proved ur commitment and devotion to music and this cover is sublime…. This song has got many trivial things as far my life is concerned…. And this is still in my wish-list hoping to be covered in the future…. Nice pick…. Unnikrishnan-Harini duo have ruled for sometime with their control over classical music and the chemistry involved in their duets has been a talisman to the sale of the audio of the movies… And coming to ur singing, as I have mentioned earlier ur strong classical base in music has tapped out the sangathis crisper and clearer… Seemed that ur voice came out with nasality in the very beginning…. But it got vanished as the song progressed…. The nasality may be due to ur attempt in adhering to the original singer’s tone… I may be wrong too… So do check out that… We are the best critics and adjudicators of our works and ourselves… Right?? ‘Kaetpathillai’ at 2:38 was a lil pitchy… Singing with a vocal-ripped track is real monstrous task as u may tend to slip out of scale as it is quite distinct in few places… When u cover such master-piece compositions, pls wait until u get a good track and do collaborate with someone to bring out… Just my 2 cents… :-) And ur sangathis were awesome and I liked the way u harnessed them without letting them fleet…. Hats off… Hope to listen many Harini’s songs covered and also some oldies as I think u can deliver them with ease… And I take this cover to my favourites’ chest and thanks for covering this… Also convey my best wishes to ur co-singer of this song… Hope he has recovered from that voice-crack which boggled him for a while taking him out of singing for movies…. :-)
