Very nice rendition Meena…rendered with very nice expressions and modulations…very mature sounding voice as well and rendered with ease….Never heard the original…U see why I have not grown beyond the 80’s….BTW this song reminds me of a Old P.Susheela number which goes like,Oru Naal Iravu Pagal Pol Nilavu from the movie Kaviya Talavi…

Wonderful version of Yuvan shankar ? Sorry Meena – I beg to differ ! His contribution to this song was just a pathetic beat. Anyway that is a different discussion.
This is probably the first song I am hearing you sing with the much required poise. Sangathis, gamakam – all have been enjoyed and delivered. your hold on layam will improve as you attempt more song but this is very well rendered. Sangathis – saraLamaa vizaradhu. very nice.

Meena,I heard it again after reading Arvind’s comments……I agree about a bit of occasional muffling due to excessive effects and the voice sounds from a distance (Heard it in my Sennheiser Headphone,today),if possible re mix it and upload again
However I still loved this rendition….you rendered it with ease with a lazy kinda elegance and the voice throw was very apt for this rendition

Very nice meena , you classical training sure helped you in this rendition……you have strong affinity on singing classical mode. those reverb and all engineering statements may try to take away ur pride in this song……but for me I am only listening to u . U desrve applauding for this Madhuvanthi/dharmavathi singing……why dharmavathi and gowrimanohari is different from rest of the raaga is its feeling and relation is itself the hook of holding the notes right….once you felt it u will hardly miss the note…. if miss the notes Ma in either raga you will land in neither raaga!!!! thats the beauty of carnatic scales….u have held the notes right……but without a strong feeling in raaga ….which actually amazes me and also puzzles me that how could this be possible…….this is why I said your carnatic training helped you in this rendition.This comment is my heart felt one to just give u a feel of what people are looking from u. you will reach great heights if you have feeling for the hook of raaga and bhavam for mood of the composition……there is a subtle difference in the last two lines if you care to understand.
This song really have demonstrated your potential to me Meena. I liked it all the way.

Some offs could have been avoided like the “dan” of “nEsamudan” the first time round in the charanam.
