Lovely expressions and great singing… Just if allowed to do bit of nit-picking I would say that some portions, especially the ending notes (for example at 0.35) , gave an Asha ji touch in the rendition…may be just me… Not a flaw anyway…:)

Smitha – lovely song and well sung too. From an improvement perspective : at a couple of places, the sustain at the very end note eg : “ka”, saMA at the end of the antaras – if pulled a bit longer, will sound even better. Good job, Smitha – 5 from me.

Liked the humming very much…. Spare of thoughts are the throw of few words especially with straight notes could have been more open throated…. But strangely I feel this is one of your best…. Very soothing…. A lil more reverb might have been added though the original doesn’t have that much…. If the diffusion level could be decreased the effect would be more mezmerising or may be if the room can be increased & damping decreased…… This certainly deserves a 5……4.7 doesn’t do justice to the singing here…… Great work keep it up….

agree with Sree on the vibrato part though, for the fact that the beauty of this song, i feel, lies in the simplicity with which it has been sung :)

Ending notes need a little more attention (example 0:38, 0:48). Another thing is Lata has probably one of the most unwavering voices in the Indian film industry (some others are SPB, Sunidhi). Your voice has a natural tremolo) which gives a bengali feel (sandhya mukherjee) to this song. Nice rendition.

Like this song. However i did not like the slight “lilt” at certain places. eg :“samaa hain yeh pyaar <lilt> kaa” & “kisike intezaar <lilt> kaaa”. Maybe its because the orignal version doesnt have that slight modulation. It could just be me.
