Well sung Smitha, I guess George is the best person to comment on this! It was a nice melody Anirudh, some portions sounded lil repetitive. Agree with rashmi, sound of waves were pleasant to the ears.

Good job guys. Let me break try and be as objective as I can:

Anirudh – Had a very MLTR/Westlife sorta feel to it. What do you use for composing? Reason/FruityLoops? Did you play the guitar portions? The waves were good, but felt it did not have to be there for the entire length of the song.

Smitha – First of all, really glad you took this on and challenged yourself! I am going to give you some pointers for future renditions:

1. You sounded a little nervous in this. Not as confident as when you sing Asha Bhosle numbers.

2. As you went into line "Oh what a perfect picture it was ……… ", it sounded like reciting a rhyme as it didnt flow well. You could have experimented a bit there, tried some variations etc.

3. All through, the singing sounded controlled. Again from “Oh what a perfect picture…” you should have just let go and sung your heart out.

4. Your sounded nasal in this, more than usual. Not sure why. Something you need to watch out for.

5. The landing notes for each line seem to be extended. You should consider mixing it up with some staccatto too. I think it will break the repetition then.

Once again, these are just points for further improvement. You both have done a commendable job on this :)

Thanks for the complete analysis :) george .

I use most of compositions using my Keyboard and FL studio.
But this song was entirely done on my keyboard . the guitar was played on the keyboard itself – using super articulation :)

Brilliant composition, Anirudh…. very very melodious and soothing…… the waves, though, were okay till the vocals started…. and you could have got them back in the end, maybe…. just a thought….

Smitha…. you got a great voice…. no need to say that again… :) but here, you were a bit nervous… i guess due to the fact that you had not sung an english number before (as you mentioned)… and thus, i guess, at times… your strains reflected a bit of eastern touches….

but overall, it sounded really nice and soothing…. and am definite and sure that you will pull off your next english songs with much more ease….

and once again… you have a veryyy sweet voice… :)

Very very nice song….really very beautiful…… Its surely felt as a Dream Song alright…… Excellent work by both of you…. You voice sounded like a charm…. N Anirudh……wonderful composition…… I didnot find any lacks in confidence though….instead I felt an accent issue with it which might have been the real problem. Though that will go away with a lil practice. Apart from that very very very beatiful….
