Smitha, a good offbeat one that you have presented very well. Kudos!.

A lot of folk songs are hypnotic as they are meant to take away the drugery of rural life and offer something soothing to the nerves to keep going. In this vain ARR has done a very good job of the tune and the beat … to me the background rhythm signified the drugery of rural life and the vocal was the comforting element to overcome that menial lifestyle. The net result is that the beat absorbs the energy from the voice and transforms its monotonous tone to an appealing one that has hypnotic quailties.

You have sung well but I did note that your vocal dropped in energy and volume in places like 0:35 – 0:40. The vocal is the leader in this song so you cannot afford to do that is my humble opinion. Every word should sustain its energy and volume in this song IMHO. Your vocal volume was absolutely fine to start with but dropped here and there which is not the appropriate style for this song.

Loved it overall … was meditative and a timely wake-up call for all the ‘Chakras’ in us!!.
