But diction is what I take very seriously and I humbly tend to differ with you, cos those 2 words you mentioned had a innate feeling of how i have sung them. You can check the original too and I have tried following Udit ji’s singing. But I value you pointing them out to me and next time, i will work harder on those aspect too so that i can get ur 100% thumbs up on my diction:)

Glad we did this and also loads of thanks for finding such a mesmerizing Karaoke for this one which makes everyone to sing this rocking number. Abt ur singing, u know how I feel. You are memsmerizing in ur portions, the feel, energy and everything abt ur parts are commendable. I think this is ur BEST rendition till date. Special mention about the start aalaap which is not in the original remix version, shows talent, adaptibility and ur singing prowess in making this composition sound beautiful. You deserve all my accolades, applauses and hope all the fello muzibians also feel the same way :)

I kept Smitha’s vocals a bit punchy on purpose because thats what the song demanded. Its the same way as in the original and hope we achieved some of it. But at the same time, I had similar effects on both our vocals to make them blend with the track and with each other. Please comment on the mix too as it will make us get better with time.

Georgy, I really value your comments and glad you liked this one. Liked ur comments on my tone which I sometimes goes with the flow of the song. Also the tone in this rendition is what I anticipated while singing this one. I was glad that during mixing this one I was able to get close to what i wanted it to be :) But completely agree that its slightly different from my natural tone, probably more voice texture modulations can be a reason for this specific song, and also the original singers (Udit Narayan’s) influence on me.

Agree that Smitha was a bit sharp but was kept like that on purpose, sorry to have disappointed you on that front :) Mixing is very relative and this is what i and Smitha liked it……Thanks a ton for stopping by and for ur encouraging comments….Appreciate a lot.

And we can keep debating which rendition of Smitha is BEST according to us but what matters is that Smitha is the BEST :)

WOW….what a fantastic piece of singing it was…….Great job guys….Great combination of someone whose voice i love and admire (thats Smitha) and the other one I JUSTTTT LOVE HIM SO MUCH ……

Shona, u did marvellously well overall, but u did go a bit off pitch (very very minor, mhanje ekdum chintu) at a couple of places……well diction, was perfect from my side and even if there was a slight mistake, this is not an hindi learning forum and in totality such small things are negligible and does not matter :)

Smitha – Girl, that alaaap was something else. Gives a very good feel to the whole song even if its a remix version u guys covered……I love the Yaara Dildaara song……try that sometimes if u guys feel…….Coming back to the point, good to see you decide to do the alaap and did it with so much panache……great work there………Very powerful singing…….I heard somewhere that ur voice becomes shrill and thin at high notes but in this one u nailed it bigtime and silenced all your critiques overall………

Nice work by both people i love immensely……Ata kay karu? chala will put that into my favs :)

I got the same electric effect, when I heard the original song here. This song was definitely a unique cover without missing the power in it.

AJ- Singing was one of the best. You sounded in control and command. The tone of your voice was apt for this rendition.

Good singing from both of you, the right expressions and feel, and yes, I could make out how you’ve strived to make the singing sound very close to the Suketu remix :)

I would be dishonest if I did not mention that I found Smitha’s vocals too bright/(sharp, not musically but sonically). Also, there were a few off notes here and there, like the landing at 0:11.

Maybe this should be mixed again, needs only minor tweaks but I feel it deserves those tweaks. And Smitha, since you have a pro account a re-upload is not an issue either :) I really hope you fine-tune this excellent rendition.
