Bio

I, like so many, started playing the guitar as a teenager. This was back in the 60’s. During that era, a big influence for me was a guy named Tim Morgon. He was very popular in Southern California, getting his start at The Prison of Socrates in Balboa. I spent hours listening to his records over and over while picking out the words and chords. That is largely how I learned to play.

Typically, I would get interested, then put the guitar down for, sometimes, years at a time. With the advent of the Internet, my interest has really come back. I do wish this had been sooner as now, with age, the fingers don’t work as well as they used to, and, the voice can’t hit notes it once did.

It’s fun though. I’m certainly no professional and only do this for enjoyment. And I do hope you enjoy.

Musical Instruments

An old Yamaha acoustic guitar.

For recording I’m doing the very basic. I have a Labtec Verse-504 mic plugged directly into my computer. For editing I use the free program, Audacity. Some day maybe I’ll graduate up to better equipment.
