(But still a humble suggestion. Pls never disrespect your throat. Give it rest when it is not ok, especially when it is infected. After all a good throat – the singing ability – is a God given gift, which we have to preserve with great care.
And I don’t think that this song would be best only if it is sung like Bombay Jayasri! That is because our ears are so accustomed to that song, sung that way by her. I am sure in your original voice it would be still better.)
