Srini … good idea to include the dialogue. Did you know that Surendar dubbed for Mohan in all his movies!. I am sure you know of Surendar who is a singer himself?.

Very nicely sung Srini … I felt that you sung it in your style rather than SPB, which is great. In fact more like Ilayaraja’s style of singing I felt.

Voice was good and rendition was soothing. Some modulations could have been better in places like “Isai Theney…Isai Theney”, where the theney could be a bit more definitive over the three notes … same pattern is of course in many places. “Nee thaan Sendhamarai” … felt the Sendhamarai should be more of a smooth slower slide to the bass note; showing more depth there will create more feeling … Moondraam pirai … same thing!. I loved your “….thaalee….lee…lo….” … that was very nice.

I think it is “Maaman Veetu Mayilum Undu….(not Kondu)” if I am right. “Paal Kodutha Nenjile” 4:15)…Nenjile was slighty off at the end … Avoid connecting up with pulses like “ee.ee.ee.ee” to cover up the beats … try a combination of sustain as well as pulses to make it sound more polished. This is a subtle point but to be noted.

Very nice voice ….I even felt a tube effect to your voice which was nice.

Whenever I listen to this song, I will remember my good friend, Ashok, who is also in Chennai (he had sung this song soulfully in a karaoke evening at my house). You have also done this song very well. Great yaar!!!!

It took a while for me to realize that I’m not listening to the original but to your cover. After the dialogues the transition into the song was good. My favorite part is in the stanza ‘pasam vittu poguma’ which you sang very well!! In the pallavi ‘Neethan senthamarai’ was a bit low for you to reach-could have been a little better. Overall very soulful rendition.
