Great write-up !
Incidentally my humble self had adopted this very piece of music as the opening title music of our orchestra years back which used to be played at the beginning of our each & every programme !
Thanks for this very special treat on the auspicious occasion of Kamal Haasan’s Birth Day !
GOD Bless !
Loving Best Wishes,

Nice dedication by you Srinivasan to the greatest South Indian star of our era…
You forgot to mention that Kamal acts as a blind artist in this movie and this particular scene is very touching where he shows his emotions so intensely well in line with the music of the violin. Unfortunately we don’t know who played this piece of music in the violin for this movie.
Hats off to you for giving another chance to listen to this.
Thanks.

Thank you very much, Srini, for refreshing our memories on this score….
Since Vidwan T.V.G sang the aalaaps in the Andhi Mazhai song, and most likely played some mridangam bits in the song/movie too, I am wondering whether this violin piece might have been from Padmashri Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan sir :-) !
He was a maestro in such fusions, and he never had any qualms to experience and experiment film scores…. Just a wild guess :-) !
Thanks again and kind regards,
Hemanth
