Shrini ….you are one of those few on this site on this site….who has great command over tamil and hindi retros. Naya gana ko maro golli because no one learns anything from them as they are anyway sung one line at a time. Unfortunately I didnt get exposed to Raja sir’s music as I grew up in Mumbai….but you are so correct …Panchamda, Raja sir, Salilda, Madanmohan,shankar Jaikishan (my favs), Raveendran mashe, Johnson mashe,S.D.Burman, Laxmikant Pyarelal….are greats….they all belong to one classy bunch of composers. The beauty of a composition is not in the number of instruments used to compose….but the arrangements made with simplicity and how the song is remembered even after decades…thanks for sharing this stuff here.
