Mere Saajan. Bandini (1963)... Lyrics & Chords
Hi all. This track is own gift to me, for my birthday, 21st sep. Its a very old song, and one of my favorites. Kudos to the great SD Burman who created such a beautiful song. Lata Mangeshkar was supposed to render this song originally, but when DADA (Sd Burman) was teaching her the song, in his voice, she felt that innocence and feel was simply superb in DADA’s voice. She requested him to render the song and that was a huge risk taking experiment those days, as the song was meant for a female. They took this risk and it was simply a great hit. Many people wont be aware of this song and may not like it. If not, just go to you tube and search for the original.
Now here, I have tried to re-create this track in my own way taking only the first mukhda of the song. No way I could match it with the feel of the original song, just made it a bit lounge types. This is not a Cover version. Do listen to the whole song and please go through the Piano solo which I tried to do in the second half :)
Cheers!!!
Sunny!!!

You are very talented. Your piano came out well. Happy birthday.
Just one comment, the beats and background got a little monotonous especially because of the scale. Nice concept, I like the original too.

once again loved the concept …but sunny you could probably put some variations in the beats and you know variations in general…currently the song seems to be a single “patch” for the whole idea…maybe you were running short on time or something
but the concept is great…great mix…awesome music bro ! loved ur vocals !

Yah Ronak I could have tried it but then I would have got those Harmonies in the fretless bass. Maybe another version I will try that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sunny,
This is way too cool. Very original.
Loved the piano solo. You hae done a fantastic job with the feel of the song, which is somewhat loungy, somewhat smooth-jazzish, if I may ….
I came to know about you from GeorgeK’s posted link on Facebook about Blogswara – this is the first of your music I checked, I am impressed and going to check out the rest.
Keep up the good work.
