Hamsa!!! You stand out different from us all with your song picks and you have proved it yet again with this pick of song… Though the track is a bummer, your vocals are just enough to convey the feel and gist… Agree with your notes about KaNNadasan-MSV duo… That pair still remains unbeaten in the trade… When you open up your throat to let your vocals hit the top, you seem to lose your grip on the notes… Only pointer, if I may note is the set of occasional off-notes… :) Nevertheless thoughtful dedication to the legends…

Hi Hamsa,
Beautiful song and beautifully sung :) infused with lovely expressions. Unga high notes ellam very sweet to listen and seemed very effortless…guess the influence of MSV has carried you through with a gentle flow. Loved the ‘Andru oru naal’ and the yekam in ‘kanan’ was so sweet and the ‘meeravin’ brilliant. Kalakitinga ponga!
Enjoyed it to the core…though been a loooong time since I heard to this MSV always rules I wish for him to comeback and belt some tunes in the now-generation to make us all stand in awe once more!

If I was told that you will be given this movie and you would be asked to pick one song, I would have put my money on this song every day of the week and twice on sunday!!! This song can’t go wrong with your voice.

Even if hear both SJ’s track and your track side by side, I won’t be able to tell the difference.

I wasn’t a big fan of this song, but I am now – I am amazed at the lyrics of this song and the way these words aptly reflect the situation of the movie! (I hated this movie because Rajini was the villain :-) a mean, calculative and deadly one, whom you would hate with all your heart!)
