It was the period when Amma used to get super irritated about remix versions of every other Hindi oldie. I’d try singing a Hindi pop song, and ask her to listen for its tune, only to learn later that it was originally a song from 50’s or 60’s. But late 90’s was surely a golden period for pop albums. At some point I quit listening to the pop albums, instead I was glued to the Golden Voice of Lata Mp3 CD. Mp3 CD was a marvel then you know! That’s how I became familiar with this song, it is a simple yet beautiful melody. Aasha in all her prettiness, you should watch the video if you haven’t already.
This is a supremely awful K-track. The tempo gradually increases thru the three charanams and god knows why. Hope you enjoy the cover nevertheless!
