.some of us in Cochin, Kerala are attempting to revive a 400 year old temple of Lord Vamanamoorthy …. have a song which we are eager to record on Lord Vamana…. have the lyrics to this… would anyone like to compose a song with it… we can have our best singers sing and record it… the music can be owned by Muziboo and all the royalties may be dedicated to the temple for its revival… the song will be recorded as a video and have a top cinematographer who has agreed to do this for us… do let me know your thoughts soonest please…

This is our Video Song on the Original Composition done by Maruthi Nambi sung by Pradip Somasundaran. Methil Devika gave expression to the song and Cinematographer Ramanan shot the video with visual conceptualization from Dr. Parvathy Warrier. Uma adapted the lyrics of Mullackal Krishnan Namboothiri to create lyrics for this song. The video is still a work in progress. More footage is being synchronized into the song. The song will become part of a 15 minute feature on National Geographic Channel to focus on the myths and legend of Emperor Mahabali and Lord Vamanamoorthy. It will explore the temple folklore, cultural expressions and traditional knowledge of Kerala.

Seen the Video have no words to express, superb depicting the beauty of God’s own country – surrounded by beautiful hillocks and greenery, and the whole episode is expressed so well by the dancer.

Well Maruthi has done an expert work on composing and the chorus effect too did help in capturing the spirit of ONAM.
