Terrific review. But Vikram was fantastic in Tamil. Shows how much can an actor take the movie to the next level. but seriously, maniratnam totally went mad in this movie. Ramayanam nu solli he finally messed up the whole concept. Infact Ramayanam nu sollaama verum veerappana pudikara kadha maadhiri sollittu poi irukkalaam. shabbaa Mani maela irundha many respect slightaa koranju poachu :(.

hmmm i want my money back or mani back. pls mani, take movies without any reference to real life epics and stuff. enough of it. take casual creative movies. i think thats your forte. innum mouna raagam, alaipayuthe ellaam paaakka mudiyudhu……

anyways, naanum ennaala mudinjadha polambiyaachu :).

Heard the songs and didn’t find it great…think I haven’t given it as much chance as his other albums :P Behene de was nice…but think I need to listen to it more I guess.

As to the movie, interestingly, half of my friends loved it, and half of them hated it! But guess I will still watch it nontheless… so hopefully this will serve as a window :)

Ravanan is a better experience than Ravan, ally coz of Vikram’s acting. To begin with, why did the film’s story begin from where it began? Ridiculous, why would a tough police inspector’s wife dress up in a soft yellow silk with a vulnerable look sail off all alone towards her Director designed destination?Huge flaw in the plot of the film.Ava eduku thaniya RAVANai thedi poramadhiri boat la pora?when there was an impending danger for her life with an agressive tough inspector husband?if he had truly loved her he would not let her be so freedom freak?

Its time he seeks help of gud story tellers like US[!!] and re-learns the art of a gud narration!!!

Suku, it was a gud attempt, a gud review with an individualistic attitude towards film perception! Ur confidence rocks and your conviction well- expressed. Excellent costumes…?only for aish and vikram in hindi, so many scenes Abhi,a tribal wears a tight jeans and a baniyan, an urban turned tribal jus to get entrapped by the vulnerable looking inspector’s wife from the city in the jungles? Maniji got swayed by the D.o.P SantoshShivan’s calibre so much so that he forgot to add a narrative structure, content to the film.A totally confused infusion of an epic drama, lost in the lacking of a clear vision of a director whose intellect is over-powered by his egoistic status, as an accomplished director.
