And TR only composed the tune. Rest all was taken care by Mr Jayaraj, father of Harris Jayaraj. But his tunes were mind-blowing and TR is still known for the confidence-level, he inherits. And I could sense the same in you and no wonder u are his fan. :-)

Excellent start, Suku! Fantastic sangathis too. Appappo shruthi slips etti paarthalum….It is not so easy to sing unplugged especially with no rhythm accompaniment. The “Bhavam” aspect is also so well looked after as in all your renditions.

But I know you are capable of much much higher quality performance than this….Konnnnjam concentration and seriousness irundaal……ungalai pidikka mudiyaathu….:)

Suku, The alaap part was excellent. There were few off pitches, which I’m also famous for lol but I liked your spirit to take this song and sing, even without a backing track. Hi 5 for that.

BTW, This is my fav song too. You are very right. TR has given so many beautiful melodies and this is one of his classics. I also love “Idhu Kuzandhai Paadum thaalaattu” song so much. TR is a symbol of confidence but also the symbol of over confidence. “Thavalai Thann Vaayaal kedum” enbadharku avar oru edhuthukkaattu. But achieving success irrespective of looks is not a joke. He definitely has got diversified talents but has always projected it with too much propaganda. Just my 2 cents :).

fantastic alaap Sukumar,sets the expectation very high…….the opening pallavi was good too……subsequently there are some offs timing as well as pitch wise….I think that is because it is an unplugged version and you got conscious I feel…….But this is such a fantastic selection,possibly TR’S best,and a great attempt……kudos for that!
